Pet Alert Needs your help. Pet Alert is a free resource and needs help to develop the site and for daily running activities. If you are able to help please contact Fiona on fanderson@petalert.com.au. All assistance will be valued.

Pet Alert is an online stray and adoption registry dedicated to the reunion of owners with lost pets and the placement of abandoned animals with new families. Our aim is to have all Australian pounds and shelters list all their strays and adoption pets on this site as well as listings by the general public. Our ultimate goal is to have a single location to search for a lost pet or to give an unwanted pet a new home.

In Pet Alert's registry you can search for lost or found pets or add a listing of your own. We have an adoption listing for pet's that need a new home.

We have also included links to Animal Shelters, Local Councils, Animal Rescue Organisations and other resources that may help in finding lost pets. The First Aid section has lots of information about what to do for your pet in an emergency. New sections are the Magazine Rack, the New Arrivals section and the Memorial section. Hopefully you might have a new pet to list in the New Arrivals but will not need the Memorial Pages for some time to come.

Pet Alert's Online Animal Database Resource Centre is completely free to both shelters and the general public. The cost of maintaining and hosting this site is assisted by sponsors. Please take a moment to look at the their pages and if possible use the products and services. Tell the supplier that you found them through Pet Alert, it will help us to ask for continued support. 

You can also help us by encouraging your local pound or shelter to use our site. If we can have everyone involved in lost pets use the one site it will make it easier to reunite pet and owner, or find an unwanted pet a new home.
